Zisis is one of the top executives at LR Health & Beauty in Greece. He operates in four countries based in Athens and has been in the sales and marketing industry since 1996. Today, he leads a network with an annual turnover of over 9 million and many thousands of partners.
During the period of 2007-2008, he saw the rise of social media and joined actively Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and later Instagram, discussing the practices he uses to develop his work. He talks about sales and digital marketing and, of course, the way in which he was able to change his life by utilizing the opportunity of LR Health & Beauty as a vehicle.
I accidentally found myself in the sales industry, which, from what I had heard, I didn’t like, without knowing exactly why. I worked for two large companies in the food and beverage industry. I started with enthusiasm. However, at the same time that I discovered the freedom of the sales space, I also felt its suffocating pressure. Looking around at my colleagues, I saw the same thing. Minimal time for their families, many hours away from home. There was nothing to envy about the future. Without realizing it at the age of just 25, I lived only for weekends. I thought, ‘How will I start my own family? What will things be like in five or ten years from now?’ I really wanted to change the situation, but I didn’t know how…
I was lost in thought, driving mechanically. My summer vacation had just been canceled due to a heavy workload, and I felt like the glass had just overflowed. I had opened my window to let the wind hit me, and while driving, I felt the injustice choking me. I was unable to react. Something had to be done, but I didn’t know what.
The answer came from a proposal that in the past, I probably wouldn’t have paid attention to. The proposal was from LR Health and Beauty. At first, I was very hesitant. I had been approached more than once in the past, trying to get me involved in similar companies. I was negative about “these types of jobs.” But there was something different here. I couldn’t tell exactly what, but I had this intuition. At the end of the presentation, I accompanied the person who made the proposal to the door, and there I heard the phrase that was going to change my life: “If one in a million, all of this could work for you too, would you like to try it?”»
I started immediately, alongside my morning job (August 1998). If I wanted to succeed, I had to overcome the prejudice towards ‘these jobs’. I tried not to think about it. I just gave it a try. It was only in the first four months and from from this part-time occupation, I made more money than my morning job. After three years, I left my morning job and dedicated myself to my new professional opportunity. My goal was by the time I was 30 to have found a job that I loved so much that I would devote the rest of my life to it. I wanted to reach the level that LR calls a Silver Organizational Leader with a monthly income of €6,000. I met people who had done it. Just ordinary people, without any special ‘formal’ qualifications. After all, neither had I, but I was open to learning. By working systematically, I succeeded. Along the way, I was not always sure that I could do it. From that moment on, I lived and worked free. I had a big company behind me to support me, and an amazing couple to show me the way.

Sales may not have been what I imagined when I was looking for a job, but it was definitely what I needed, as it turned out. I came to the conclusion that nothing can stand in the way of a person who loves what they do and does it well.

The Covid-19 period and its aftermath were a very tough crash test for all companies.
